Legal limit should be .00

The legal limit for blood alcohol content should be set at .00.  That's right not a drop!  Why, because there is no way a person can know if they are over or under the legal limit after one single drink!  If you have one drink and your body happens to metabolize the alcohol differently that day; you may be over the limit and there is no argument that can get you out of a DUI.

 .00 would provide everyone notice that if you've had a drink you should not drive for at least six hours.  It is a standard that individuals can and should adopt on their own and take government out of the equation for personal safety and peace of mind.  It should be adopted by governments all over the country to provide actual notice to people.

 Instead, we have adopted a .08 standard.  This is tantamount to telling someone it is legal to shoot a person right up until that person dies.... then they are guilty of murder.  A "shoot the person" law makes no sense and either does a .08 DUI standard.  Why not eliminate the possibility of DUI before it starts. 

 The answer is far more obvious than we want to realize... MONEY!  DUI is an industry.  It provides a revenue base for municipalities, counties, courts, police, prosecutors, lobbyists, and yes even defense attorneys.  Everyone involved with DUI makes money except for the poor person who had a drink of wine with dinner, thought they were just fine... and made an illegal right turn... or had their license plate light burn out.... THEN THEY ARE IN DUI HELL.
